The Milky Way celebrated its 3rd anniversary on August earlier this year, and has already made a name for itself in the Commonwealth neighbourhood in a short span of 3 years. Opened by the two charming brothers, Alfred & Renfred (former contestant of Campus Superstar), the Milky Way specialises in home-made gelato and waffle. On top of that, the dessert café is also known for its great coffee and latte art.
The great hospitality shown by the brothers to each and every one of their customers is one reason Milky Way has a huge pool of regulars. Besides, they are using the Advocado system which allows their customers to earn loyalty points. So, if you are staying or working around the area, head down to the Milky Way for ice cream and a warm cup of cuppa! Guaranteed satisfaction!
Waffles with Timeless Earl Grey, Smurf and Roasted Sicilian Pistachio
These are the more popular gelatos at The Milky Way. They were all rich and creamy. My favourites were the Timeless Earl Grey (light and floral Earl Grey Flavour; dosen’t tastes artificial) and Roasted Sicilian Pistachio (strong and aromatic). Waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
The coffee here is aromatic and not too acidic. A good perk me up when you are feeling very lethargic. Also, you can request Renfred to draw a nice latte art on your coffee! He is good.
The two charming brothers! No wonder so many female customers!
If you working around Commonwealth, drop by The Milky Way for a good coffee break and of course delicious ice cream!
