Are you sure that is a dessert? Isn’t that a burger? You must be kidding me! This was my reaction when I saw the deceptive desserts from Cake Avenue’s Diner Themed Dessert Menu. From now till 25 December 2017, guests can expect to enjoy 6 interesting dessert creations designed to mimic the look and feel of classic savoury diner foods such as hamburgers and alphabet soup. Yes, your eyes aren’t playing any tricks on you! On top of that, Cake Avenue has also rolled out 3 special Christmas entremets and the best part, they are extremely affordable. So, get your sweet tooth fixed at this humble dessert café in Lorong Kilat this Christmas!

The desserts at Cake Avenue caught me off guard in a really good way! They were all visually appealing and I couldn’t bear to eat them. Definitely fits the Christmas theme very well.

Christmas Entremets

Here’s the 3 adorable entremets that Cake Avenue created!

Mini Chocolate Yule Log // $5.90
The cake was rich and moist. It wasn’t overly sweet. Very pleasurable to the taste buds.

Christmas Apple Bauble // $5.90
The glaze was so shinning that we could see our reflection on it. I thought it was going to be very sweet from the bright colour but it turned out otherwise. Texture was nice but the flavour didn’t really work for me.

Chocolate Caramel Reindeer // $5.90
This was pretty good! Chocolate and caramel flavour were well-balanced, and the dessert wasn’t very sweet. For a $5.90 pastry, this was really amazing!

Unicorn Milkshakes
Everyone has been dm-ing me on Instagram these few days because of this photo that I’ve posted. Yes, the unicorn milkshakes are super adorable. They come in 3 flavours: Strawberry, Mango and Matcha. I would recommend you to get the strawberry flavoured one!

Diner Dessert Menu

Alphabet Soup // $8.90
This Alphabet Soup was very refreshing, a good balance of lychee and raspberry flavour. It was also not very sweet (don’t be fooled by the colours).

Diners Sliders and Fries // $15.90
Don’t be fooled by its burger appearance! This is not a burger but a dessert. The buns (muffin cake) was soft and moist while the patty (ice cream) was rich. Not too bad.
