In just a short span of time (since its opening), Nesuto has already been established as the GO-TO dessert café in Singapore. Specialising in exquisite and unique-flavoured pastries and entremets, Nesuto has recently launched a very value-for-money Afternoon High Tea Set which is better than some of the hotels. On top of that, they have also rolled out 4 different Christmas Log Cakes this Christmas and I’ll be sharing two of them in this blog post. Be it for a ladies outing or for the guys to surprise their girlfriends, this new Afternoon High Tea Set from Nesuto is definitely impressive!

Nesuto’s Afternoon High Tea Set is priced at $45.90 for 1 pax, and $24.90 for the second person. So, it makes more sense to come in pair – it is cheaper and you get to indulge in these delicious treats with your loved ones. Besides offering really outstanding sweets, Nesuto also does really tasty savoury items. Overall, it was a memorable experience!

The set also comes with a choice of tea. I would recommend going for the Lychee and Earl Grey Tea since it is lighter and more refreshing. By the way, I was very full after the high tea. So, head down with an empty stomach.

Here’s some close-up pictures of the items you will be trying in the Afternoon High Tea Set:

Salmon Avocado Tacos
Salmon definitely was well-mixed with mashed avocado. Eat this in just one bite for maximum pleasure. So darn yummy!

Pulled Pork Sliders with Homemade Coleslaw
The pulled pork was flavourful, tender and juicy. So good that I don’t mind stealing the piece from my partner.

Mushroom Truffle Tartlet
Truffle smell and flavour was really strong (soaking the air) and the mushroom was very well-seasoned. Combined with the crusty tartlet, this is a great combo!

Yoghurt Panna Cotta with Seasonal Fruits
This was not too bad but I thought it was a tad too sweet for my liking. But Panna Cotta was definitely soft and melty.

Matcha Raspberry Opera Cake
Cake was soft and moist but I would have loved it even more if the matcha flavour was stronger.

Yuzu Tartlets
This was good! Yuzu flavour was really strong and it matches so well with the lime used in the tart. Sweet-sour combination so damn shiok!

Cinnamon Cookies
This was crispy and very flavourful. Easy to eat. Goes well with tea!

Cranberry Buttery Scones
Saving the best for the last. This was the highlight of the High Tea Set! Scones was well-baked – soft and fluffy with the top layer having a bit of crisp. They were also very generous with the servings of cranberry. No sauce needed to go with it because it’s already very tasty!

Christmas Log Cakes

Traditional Buche De Noel
Vanilla Sponge/Caramelized Hazelnuts/Hazelnut Praline Crème Mousseline
Cake was soft and moist, with a very enjoyable and strong Hazelnut flavour!

Salted Dulcey Caramel
70% Light Chocolate Mousse/’Fleur de sel’ Caramelized White Chocolate Centre/Valrhona Dark Chocolate Pearls/Buttermilk Chocolate Sponge
I was initially sceptical about the colourings of the cake (confirm very sweet) but I was wrong. It was not and the salted caramel wasn’t too jelat. I also liked the different textures of the layers. Very yummy!
