Singapore is home to many overseas franchises and I’m not complaining. I can skip the hassle of travelling out of the country and get my cravings sorted out. If you know me well enough, you would probably know that I’m into Korean food and culture more than anything else. Recently, the popular pizza chain from Korea – Pizza Maru opens its first outlet at the newly-furnished Northpoint and I’m having a serious heart attack. Renowned for using Green Tea & Black Rice well-being dough for its pizzas, guests can also expect to see other delicious Korean classics such as Fried Chicken, Bibimbap Tower, Carbonara Toppoki and Spicy Seafood Toppoki, all at a very reasonable price. On top of that, there’s no pork no lard at Pizza Maru (Muslim-friends might want to check out this place as well). Aren’t you excited? Head over to Pizza Maru and indulge in a sumptuous Korean feast! Calories so worth gaining!

It seems like Pizza Maru is going to be another Korean restaurant that I will be patronising very often. Besides their to-die-for cheesy pizzas, I also liked their Fried Chicken which blew everyone away. Desserts are a tad weak here but who cares? The mains really make up for it! No wonder the queue is so crazy!

Cheonjiyeon Waterfall // $6.90
Made of Blue Berry and Chisung Cider, this drink was refreshing but a tad too sweet for me.

Love Land // $6.90
Made of Mix Berries, Fruit Punch and Chisung Cider, this drink was less sweet as compared to the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall. Very fruity and refreshing. A good drink for the hot weather!

Taro Latte // $6.90
This was not too bad but I thought the Taro flavour could have been stronger.

Nok Cha Latte // $6.90
Honestly, this was really good! Nok Cha (Green Tea) flavour was aromatic and strong. Also, it wasn’t overly sweet. Not because I’m bias (because I love Matcha), but this was my favourite drink out of the four that I’ve tried.

Honey Butter Coat Chicken // $16.80 (6pcs) & $29.80 (12pcs)
Honey Butter flavoured chicken? I’m definitely up for it! If you don’t know, Honey Butter Chips is a very popular snack  in Korea and it is wiped out within a few seconds. They were very generous with the Honey Butter  coating (it was very fragrant) and the chicken was super crispy. It also comes with some radish for you to munch if you are feeling jelat from the chicken which I don’t think you’ll ever feel jelat. Chicken was finger-licking good!

Onion Tartar Chicken // $16.80 (6pcs) & $29.80 (12pcs)
Again, the chicken was undeniably very crispy. If you’re a fan of onions, you should probably order this. Onion flavour was strong but not too overpowering. Sauce was damn power.

Supa Hot Dak Gangjeong / $16.80 (6pcs) & $29.80 (12pcs)
Can you take spicy? If yes, you should then order this. Flavour was really good but it was too spicy for me. Are you up for the spicy challenge?? You can choose either level 1 or 2!

Kimchi Bulgogi Tower // $12.80
Somehow this reminded me of the Kimchi burger from BonGousse! It was very flavourful (rice was so fragrant and kimchi so well-seasoned). I can totally finish this all by myself!

Mango Ocean // Regular 9″ (19.80) & Large 12″ (23.80)
OH MY GOD! I can’t used any words to describe how wonderful the pizza was. It wasn’t oily, generous fillings and the pizza was extremely flavourful. Love the sweet potato at the outskirt of the pizza and the mango added a refreshing element to the pizza. Good stuff!

Real BBQ Chicago // Regular 9″ ($26.80)
Another amazing creation from Pizza Maru. Again, pizza wasn’t jelat and it was very flavourful. BBQ sauce wasn’t too overwhelming as well. Also, the cheese was DAEBAK!

Chicago Pizza // $26.80 (Regular 9″)
JUST LOOK AT CHEESE PULL! Picture says everything. Cheese-lovers will fall in love with this instantly! I took slices home for my mum and she couldn’t stop singing praises of it!

Rainbow Paradise // $11.90
Warning Alert!!! If you have a very strong sweet tooth, then you’ll probably love this! Other than that, this is only picture perfect! But I guess it does appeal to the younger crowd!

Nok Cha Waffle Ice Cream // $11.90
This was good! Waffle was soft and fluffy on the inside while maintaining a crisp on the outside. Matcha ice cream was rich and has a subtle bitter aftertaste. I’m a happy man!
