If you are doing a last minute search (panicking)on where to dine this Valentine’s/Chinese New Year with your partner, you can impress them with a decent meal at Hoshino Coffee without having to spend a bomb.

My last visit to Hoshino Coffee was ages ago (I only had their dessert last year) and to be honest, I wasn’t very impressed with the food they served back then. Recently, I visited their new outlet at One KM with a friend and we unanimously agreed that the food definitely improved more than a notch. The flavour, texture and presentation of the dishes surpassed our expectations. On top of that, the attentive and hospitable staffs made our meal at Hoshino Coffee a very memorable one as well. For those foodies who are bringing your camera, this outlet at One KM has really beautiful natural lightings in the evening.

Visited their new outlet at One KM and got a great seat near the window. Lighting was perfect, and the food was delicious. Also, I’m in love with the two latte drinks.

Ice Matcha Latte with Ice Cream
Hoshino Coffee’s matcha latte was really good! Matcha flavour was strong with a subtle bitterness. Green tea ice cream was not too icy, light and not overly sweet. Definitely what I need on a hot sunny evening. This is a must-order!

Ice Sakura Latte with Ice Cream
Drink for the ladies, especially if you’re into very floral flavour. This sakura latte wasn’t as sweet as it looks. Paired with a classic scoop of vanilla ice cream, the guys can definitely score a goal if you bring your girlfriends here!

Lobster Bisque Soup Spaghetti
The sauce for the pasta was flavourful (not jelat) and the pasta had a great texture. I would have love it even more if it was a little spicier. Probably can ask the staff for some tabasco.

“Omu Rice” & Angus Beef Steak Plate with Salad
This was really not bad! The omelette was soft and fluffy. Rice was well-fried and flavourful. Beef steak was cooked to perfection (medium) – tender and juicy. Sauce complements the beef really well.

Matcha Pancake Souffle Style
This is my second time trying this, and I’ve got to say it’s so much better than the first time I’ve tried. They were more generous with the matcha sauce and the sauce was rich (with a subtle bitterness). Drizzle some maple syrup if you think it’s too bitter for you. Pancakes were soft and fluffy. Definitely very pleasurable to the tastebuds!
