Our eyes and mouth were wide open when the staff from Citrus served our burgers and milkshakes. With burgers and milkshakes that massive, it’s hard not to be surprised. We were literally going “Oh My God!” each time a dish was placed on our table (not exaggerating). Recently, the casual and family-friendly halal restaurant – Citrus by the Pool has rolled out a brand new menu that features mouth-watering burgers and ‘over the top’ milkshakes. Situated within Woodlands Swimming Complex, this hidden gem is very pocket-friendly, and extremely popular among all age groups (they are packed during the weekends). The warm and hospitable service from the staffs and owner (super friendly btw) also explain why they have a huge pool of supportive regulars. So, if you’re looking for a place to spend some quality time with your family this weekend, I can’t think of a better place than Citrus by the Pool.

Aren’t the burgers and milkshakes tempting? I’m starting to drool looking at the pictures alone. If you are residing around Woodlands, you should check this place out! It’s definitely the perfect place to bond with your family.

A milkshake a day keeps depression away. And they are not taxing to the wallet:)

Strawberry Gem // $8.90
This was surprisingly not as sweet as it looks. My mum was initially very sceptical about its sweetness but it turned out otherwise. Strawberry flavour was strong and rich. I also loved the gem biscuits on top (reminded me of my fond childhood memories).

Caramel Popcorn // $9.90
Hmmm.. this was devilishly sinful but so damn worth it. The sweet-salty combination just hooks you in, and by the time you know it, you are addicted!

Double Chocolate // $8.90
Chocolate-lovers will go ga ga over this! So rich and heavy!

(NEW) Snickerheads // $10.90
Always a huge fan of snickers! The nutty and chocolate combination was so good that I finished this giant milkshake alone! Calories so worth gaining lah!

Instead of cheering to alcoholic drinks, cheers to milkshakes the next time you visit Citrus by the Pool. Great place to chill after you finish swimming or exercising!

Big Boss Burger (Double) // $17.90
This left a very strong impression on me! The burger was stacked with two huge beef patty, alongside a nutty peanut sauce with a hint of spice. Sauce was so good that we were all singing praises of it. True enough, every table had this burger as well. Fries were well-seasoned!

The Big Catch // $12.90
This was definitely very value-for-money! Didn’t quite like the texture of the fish (it was too mushy) but the sauce made up for it! Portion was big!

Shiok Burger // $12.90
The chicken patty was well-marinated and well-fried. Sauce was savoury (it felt more like sambal sauce than spicy chilli crab sauce, but nonetheless, it was good) and paired well with the chicken.

Dainty Trio (Beef) // $12.90
This mini bite sized burgers are easy to eat, and I foresee them being very popular among the ladies and kids! Beef patty was well-seasoned.

Dainty Trio (Chicken) // $10.90
I preferred the chicken one because the sauce complemented the chicken very well!

Coco Loco // $9.90
My eyes sparkled when I saw this! Coconut ice cream was rich and creamy, and the matcha crumbs were such great complements. Very refreshing!

Berry Magic // $11.90
Such a huge jar of sundaes and I’m not complaining. It was not overly sweet (even though it appears to be).
