I can’t contain my excitement because the first-ever DreamWorks KouKou Cafe has just opened in Singapore, at Bugis +. “cue applause and screaming” DreamWorks has produced some of the highest-grossing animated films (blockbuster movies) and see them come into life at the beautifully-furnished cafe. Think popular DreamWorks characters from Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon (my favourite) and Trolls. Expect to enjoy a myriad of wholesome Asian-fusion comfort food as well as hand-crafted beverages at the comfort of these cute characters’ home. Since it’s the school holidays, parents should reward/give your kids a break and surprise them with a visit to the cafe. For the guys out there, you can also impress your girlfriends when you bring them here. So, wait no more and lets move it, move it!

Just look at how adorable these dishes are. Tell me what’s not to love about them? Food definitely exceeded our expectations for a themed cafe. Mains were stronger than the rest.

This was my favourite backdrop! All the popular DreamWorks characters are here!

Something to keep the kids occupied!

Always remember to be camera-ready. So many things worth snapping because they are all so cute lah!

True Colours // $7.50
Butterfly Pea topped with Softserve! Who’s up?
P/s: Snap a photo quick because the ice cream melts fast and by the time you know it, it’s messy (dripping onto the table).

Ogre Swamp Adventure // $7.50
My favourite, probably because of my bias towards Matcha. Wish the matcha was a tad stronger but this was quite refreshing. Again, snap a quick photo before the ice cream melts.

Signature K.B.P // $13
I thought this was pretty impressive. Bun was a tad dry (probably because we left it on the table for quite a while) but the pork belly was so tender and juicy. It was also well-marinated and very flavourful. No sauce/condiments required! Also, why is it so adorable?

Night Fury Steak Rice // $18.50
Health conscious people/parents who wants their kids to eat healthy can order this! Brown rice is shaped to Night Fury (my favourite DreamWorks character btw) and it paired very well with the cream sauce. Steak was flavourful (but eat it while it’s hot).

Never Leave A Man Behind // $22.50
We all unanimously agreed that this was our favourite dish. Salted egg sauce was really addictive but not too overwhelming. Salmon was well-cooked with a semi-melty texture. A must-order!

Secret Ingredient Noodle Soup // $23
This flavourful and robust kimchi ramen is filled with seafood flavours. Also, very generous servings of seafood can be found in the ramen. Dip the cute buns into the soup (even if its too cute)!

Fun Sliders // $9
This photo doesn’t do the dessert any justice because the ice cream melted into a pool of water (and hence I cut it away). Really love the old school brownies which I would recommend to go with the the blue soft serve (cotton candy flavoured). Kids will definitely fall in love with this!

Hairlarious Princess // $18
For the people with very strong sweet tooth. The cake was really soft and moist, but it was a tad too sweet for me!
