Eh Wei Kai, why you never intro halal-certified restaurants ah? We also want to makan nice food leh! Can you share with us some cafes/restaurants that serve really yummy halal food?

I’ve been getting a lot of requests from my Muslim buddies to recommend a good Halal restaurant and so, this post is specially dedicated to you guys.

Recently, I visited the family-friendly Fleur Bistro at City Plaza that offers a plethora of local dishes at a very reasonable price. The warm hospitality from the owners also explains why they have a huge pool of regulars. On top of that, they are constantly creating and innovating new dishes (can always notice frequent changes to their menu). Oh yes, you can also sing to your heart’s content on Sunday (they have a karaoke system)!

So, to all my Muslim bros and sis, don’t say I never share good stuff with you guys ah! Time to visit Fleur Bistro and enjoy a sumptuous meal with your family and friends without having to spend a bomb!

Are you guys drooling? Because I was. Dishes may not be that well-presented, but I can assure you that the flavour was really good. I was impressed with a few dishes and I can’t wait to share with everyone.

Salted Egg Prawn Aglio Olio
My favourite flavour of all time – Salted Egg. Pasta was well-cooked (great texture) and has a great salted egg flavour (not overwhelming and comes with a hint of spiciness). Sedap lah!

Yellow Mee Ban Thai
This was quite similar to Mee Goreng but has a lighter flavour. Noodles were well-cooked (not too oily) and has a great wok hei flavour. For bolder flavour, add in the green chilli and mix it with the noodles!

Kway Teow Ban Thai
Okay, I would have loved this even more if the flavour was stronger and a tad spicier.

Lamb Ribs Marissa
One of their signature at Fleur Bistro and a MUST-TRY! Black pepper sauce was fragrant and really addictive. Everyone was singing praises of it!

Cheesy Tahu Telur
This was my favourite dish at Fleur Bistro. The Fried Egg surprisingly went very well with the nachos cheese. Sauce was so good, I was literally drinking it away. I’ll definitely order this when I’m back again!

Satay Platter
Iconic dish of Singapore and Fleur Bistro did it pretty well. I was amazed at how good the sauce was. Nutty, rich and simply yummilicious. Chicken was well-grilled to achieve a great texture.

Salted Caramel Cake
Cake was soft and moist, and thank god it was not overly sweet.

Ondeh Ondeh
So fluffy like a really ondeh ondeh. Again, I love cakes that are not overly sweet (not like those that you feel you’ll get a sore throat the next day)!
