Kumoya Singapore is always full of surprises. After running the Care Bears concept for three months, they now welcome the world’s first-ever & iconic Tokidoki pop-up store (cue ‘screaming’) from now till end of June. Catch a glimpse of your favourite characters in the specially designed menu (by the talented @littlemissbento) and also a chance to bring them home (a myriad of Tokidoki merchandises to choose from).

I went on the first day of its opening and met Simone Legno (tokidoki Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer) who also held a fan signing session on the same afternoon! The amount of fans he has – INSANE (massive long queues with one fan that came as early as 5am in the morning). I really liked the menu this time round – It was impressive (very, to be exact for a theme cafe) and so darn pretty! Enough said, you need to check out this cute and colourful Tokidoki pop-up cafe before it’s gone in June!

Aren’t they all cute? I don’t mind spending my money to get all these quirky and delicious tokidoki-inspired dishes! Also, you should check out the merchandises displayed at the counter! So hard not to buy them!

Yes, I admit I’m a glutton but I just had to order a few to try! A tad expensive (but you can kind of expect the prices to be a little steeper since its a theme cafe) but definitely worth every single penny!

Donutella Sweet Treat Caramel Popcorn Frappe // $17.90
Definitely a good treat during the hot weather! Drink wasn’t too sweet and the popcorn was still crunchy. Yum!

Golden Sweet Potato Fries // $10.90
My favourite sweet potato fries fried to perfection. It was crispy and not too oily. Yes, I’m hooked!

SANDy and Polpettina Full-of-Life Chicken Katsu Burger // $23.90
Hmm. This burger is really good, especially the crispy and well-marinated chicken patty. Sauce was really good – sweet, and citrusy. Bun was really soft as well. Oh yes, the pink bun is filled with custard. What an awesome combo, isn’t it?

Moofia-Protected Pressed Sushi Rice // $24.90
So cute, how to eat ah? Hidden within the cute biscuit is sushi with grilled Unagi with teriyaki sauce and cheese. Unagi was well-cooked and really tender. Teriyaki sauce was a great complement (not too sweet).

Donutella’s Delightful Chocolate Cake with Dark Chocolate Sauce // $18.90
Okay, this wasn’t as sweet as it appears to be. Chocolate cake was soft and moist.

Adios and Ciao Ciao’s Farewell Fantasy Charcoal Waffles Toast // $22.90
All my favourite desserts in one plate! Let’s start from the brownies – soft and moist. Charcoal waffles were really crunchy. Hokkaido berries softtserve was smooth and not overly sweet. The cereal crunch was a great finish to the entire dessert. Highly recommended!
