Jamie’s Italian has been around in Singapore for quite a while now, and has also been recognised as one of the go-to restaurant for authentic Italian food. I can’t believe this is the first time I’m visiting the popular Italian restaurant because the food they served was relatively impressive. Portion definitely shocked me (in a good way) and there were some dishes that I thought was worth sharing/mentioning.

Recently, they have rolled out a brand new menu (different for both outlets in Vivo City and Forum) and I’ll be sharing the ones at the outlet in Forum. If you’re planning to have a family meal/gathering, Jamie’s Italian is definitely a great choice! Very family and pocket-friendly!

As you can see, the portions were really generous. I was especially shocked at the huge platters/planks Jamie’s Italian were serving. And what? They are meant for 2 persons? You gotta be kidding me! Restaurant was also really cosy (and that explains why so many families were dining on the same night I was there).

Ultimate Plank ($39.95++, serves two)
San Daniele Prosciutto | Pistachio Mortadella | Bresaola | Tomato Crostini | Pork Scratchings & Apple Sauce | Grissini & Music Bread | Italian Nachos | Mini Buffato Mozzarella | Aged Pecorino & Chilli Jam | Olives & Pickles | Grilled Marinated Peppers | Rainbow Slaw
This Ultimate Plank was ultimatum! It was so huge and I can’t believe it’s meant for 2 pax! I mean how can anyone still order their main course after having this? There’s really a huge variety to choose from and I really like the Italian Nachos, Tomato Crostini and the SUPER ADDICTIVE Aged Pecorino & Chilli Jam. Didn’t know cheese and chilli paired so well together! A must-try!

Jamie’s Big Five $23.95++ (Add on $4.95++ for Grilled Chicken, Prosciutto or Smoked Salmon)
Quinoa | Fennel | Peas | Crunchy Red Chicory | Grapes | Radish | Lemony Extra Virgin Olive Oil Dressing
This was a great appetiser, and I would order this again when I’m back at Jamie’s. Salad was well-dressed, refreshing and crunchy.

Orecchiete Puttanesca $17.95/$26.95++ (Only available at Forum)
Garlic | Anchovies | Fresh Chilli | Gaeta Olives | Parmesan | Basil
Pasta was well-cooked to achieve a great texture – not too tough or too soggy! It was flavourful and has a subtle basil and garlic aroma. Sauce was not too sweet. Best to be eaten when it’s hot!

Cauliflower Cheese Gnocchi $17.95/$26.95++ (Only available at Forum)
Potato Gnocchi | Creamy Cauliflower & Gorgonzola Sauce | Roasted Cauliflower
Sauce was flavoursome, creamy but not too rich. Roasted Cauliflowers were really crunchy as well. I thought this was going to be damn jelat but I guess it was not.

Prawn Risotto $28.95++ (Only available at Forum)
Risotto with White Wine & Chilli | Pan-fried Prawns & Courgette | Mint | Courgette Flower
I really liked the Risotto. It was flavourful (has a subtle white wine aroma) and it has a great texture (not too watery).  So good I wanted to pack one home as well. Highly recommended!

Balsamic Braised Beef $37.95++ (Only available at Forum)
Eight-hour Slow-cooked Beef Cheek | Red Wine | Olive Oil Mash | Horseradish & Parsley
Trust me! If you did not order this Beef Cheek at Jamie’s Italian, you will walk away regretting. Beef was well-cooked, flavoursome and super tender (literally melts in the mouth). So good we were all fighting to finish the last piece! Highly recommended!

Molten Chocolate Praline Pudding $14.95++
Salted Caramel Ice Cream | Praline
Oh my! The molten chocolate was so rich (and I’m not complaining). The richness of the chocolate (with a subtle bitterness) bursts in the mouth. Paired with the creamy Salted Caramel Ice Cream, my sweet tooth is fixed!

Lemon Meringue Cheesecake $14.95++
Mascarpone & Lemon Cheesecake | Italian Meringue | Lemon Curd | Blackcurrants
If you like desserts that are sour, you will probably love this. Personally, this was a tad too sour for my liking. But the cheesecake was really soft and moist.
