Everyone needs a break from work, and it’s best to unwind your stress with a drink or two at your favourite pub/bar. If you’re working in the CBD area (particularly around Raffles Place), Hans Im Glück is the perfect place for you to respite with your friends. Unlike other places, this not-your-typical German bar is known for their specialty burgers (you would expect a German bar to serve pork knuckle but Hans Im Glück do not) and interesting alcoholic beverages. The bar is beautifully-furnished (it feels like you’re walking into a forest) with real trees (flew in from Germany) built within it. Even their menu is presented in a beautiful manner. Oh yes, the sauces which you will see on every table are all made in-house (BBQ sauce was the bomb). How cool is that? On top of that, they also play really hip German music (they have a DJ that curates the playlist) which you would automatically move you body along with. So, what are you waiting for? Time to check out Hans Im Glück’s mouth-watering burgers with your friends because trust me, you guys will be begging for more. Their vegetarian burgers really surprised all of us by the way!

P/s: Their ladies’ night is on every Tuesday 😉

Kickstarting the evening with some refreshing and colourful cocktails from Hans Im Glück! So glad they were well-mixed (not too sweet & alcohol was not too overpowering)

We got 4 drinks – 1) GOLDREGEN, 2) HOFNARR, 3) GLUCKSBRINGER and 4) BROMBEER. As you can see from the pictures, the cocktails were really huge!

P/s: Also, with every cup of water you order from them, they will donate $1 to the charity. Isn’t that meaningful? So, remember to order water from them!

This is what I call LEGIT & REAL Onion Rings. Just look at their size! Onion rings were well-battered and super crispy. Dip it with the avocado cream-wasabi sauce for maximum pleasure. This is seriously a great bar snack. You just keep popping it into your mouth. I was so tempted to order another serving!

Hans Im Glück
Their signature burger and I know why. Beef patty was really well-cooked and firm. You can really taste the complexity/layers in the beef patty when you bite on it. It was super tender and juicy. Beef-lovers will go OMG! We got the sweet potato fries on the side. Me love it very much!

This was one of the hot favourite that night! Beef patty paired with aromatic and flavourful blue cheese! How can we all resist this? Unless you’re not a hard-core Blue cheese fan, if not, this was the BOMB! Can I buy that blue cheese sauce back home?

The vegetarian burgers at Hans Im Glück were so good I nearly convert myself into vegetarian. This was so delicious I didn’t even know it was vegetarian. Patty was made of Spinach and Cheese which complemented one another really well. It was super crispy by the way. So good that I’m sure I’ll be ordering this again very soon, real soon. P/s: this was my favourite burger!

Honestly, if they didn’t tell me this was wheat patty, this can pull off as a regular beef patty. I really liked the texture of the patty (really full) and kudos to the avocado cream which paired so well with it. YUMMY!
