I’m amazed at how Kumoya Singapore can never fail to surprise me with their theme cafe every 3 months. I thought I was so done with it but their Mr Men & Little Miss Cafe got me so triggered and excited. I mean if you are born in the 1900s, you will be very familiar with Mr Men & Little Miss storybooks. And I believe you can still find them in some bookstores. On top of bringing the concept to the cafe, Kumoya Singapore and the very talented Little Miss Bento have also incorporated local elements when designing the menu. Expect to see your favourite storybook characters in popular Singaporean dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Prawn Noodles, Chendol and many more. So, relieve your childhood memories by visiting the nostalgic and lovely Mr Men and Little Miss Cafe at Kumoya Singapore before it’s gone in September!

The dishes are as adorable as their previous themes but I’m loving the ‘Singapore-ness’ that they have added this time round! Definitely something that excites me!

Chendol Gula Melaka Frappe // $14.90
This drink is LOVE! Gula Melaka was really strong and fragrant but not too overpowering. It was not too sweet (if you mix it properly). Very refreshing!

Karaage Chicken with Shoyu Glaze // $12.90
This was so addictive I have to literally force myself to stop. That goes my dieting plan! Chicken was well-seasoned and well-fried, and you just can’t stop when you start popping one into your mouth! To be honest, I preferred it without the dip. The dip was a tad too sweet for me!

Fried Mantou with House-Made Chilli Crab // $11.90
Oh my! The chilli crab sauce was really flavourful and it wasn’t too spicy. Mantou wasn’t too oily and it was soft and fluffy.

Mr Bump Knock-out Nasi Lemak // $23.90
This must be one of the cutest Nasi Lemak you can find around Singapore! Also, the portion is HUGE! Butterfly Pea rice has a subtle coconut aroma, and it comes with so many sides! Spoilt for choice man seriously! I really liked the crispy Fried Chicken, Potato Croquette and their Sambal Chilli. So good I didn’t want to share!

Little Miss Hug Splendid Seafood Ramen in Superior Prawn Soup // $23.90
The prawn soup was really robust and flavourful, and the noodles had a great texture. Oh yes, I also liked the crayfish inside that dish! A good rendition of our popular Prawn Noodle but with a slight Japanese twist!

Go big on Little Miss Tiny Sweet and Sour Tempura Fish Burger // $19.90
This was my least favourite dish of all. I didn’t quite liked the texture of the fish (maybe personal preference)! But the fries were good though!

Mr Bump Pow-Wow Pandan Sponge Cake // $17.90
Omg, this is too adorable to eat! The Pandan Cake was really nice and fragrant. Again, I had to force myself to stop (cos the amount of calories ?). The Hokkaido Milk ice cream, on the other hand, was so creamy that we finished it in no time! I’m always impressed with Kumoya’s dessert! So darn good leh!

Mr Men and Little Miss Special Chocolate Fondue Platter // $23.90
This is a MUST-ORDER! I mean I’m already happy just looking at it. The chocolate fondue was really rich and chocolatey. Yes, it can get jelat towards the end, but you can have the ice cream (strawberry and milk) to balance it. Oh yes, the jelly Ang Ku Kueh and Brownies were my fav! Totally can pleased your girlfriend if she’s angry at you!
