The World Cup is finally over and it’s time to replenish yourself with a relaxing and hearty meal after all the late night sleeps and drinking. To commemorate their 2nd anniversary, the popular Ninja Bowl at Duxton welcomes a brand new brunch menu; and for the first time in 2 years – they have rolled out a decent selection of pastas as well. On top of that, they have re-adjusted the pricing of their menu to make it more affordable for their customers, particularly the office crowd working around the area. The new brunch menu will still be revolving around the concept of Japanese fusion dishes and similarly to their previous menu, the dishes this time round also left a lasting impression on me. Expect to see mouth-watering dishes (also interestingly named) such as Hokkaido, Harajuku, Tamago Sandwich, Ohayo and many more! So, what are you waiting for? The new brunch menu at Ninja Bowl awaits. Remember to bring more of your friends along because the MORE the MERRIER!

What a sight to wake up to, isn’t it? Ninja Bowl is really generous with their portion and I’m not complaining. Definitely need to jio more people to come here to eat. Oh yes, the new dishes are very instagrammable as well.

Tamago Sandwich // $16
First thing that caught my attention was the beautifully-cooked Onsen Egg. It flows out like nobody’s business with just a gentle slice. Croissant was well-toasted to achieve a nice crispy texture; plus it’s not oily at all. It goes really well with the soft and fluffy tamogo sandwiched between it. Oh yes, the beef ragu with cheese was also very flavourful (not too jelat), and it definitely enhanced the flavour of the entire dish. My stomach was very satisfied!

Hokkaido // $16
OMG! Isn’t that Chilli Crab sauce drizzled on the tempura-battered fish fillet and soft shell crab? The sauce was really flavourful and it wasn’t spicy at all (probably because they have to cater to the taste buds of expats/tourists as well). It definitely complemented the crispy fish fillet and soft shell crab very well. Rice (I think it was mixed with brown rice) was also very well-cooked. Highly recommended!

Harajuku // $18
How on earth did they managed to make cauliflowers taste so damn good? If you aren’t a fan of cauliflower, I would suggest you ordering this because it will definitely change your perception of cauliflower. Oh yes, they were really generous with the portion (a mountain of it). Cauliflower was well-roasted and nicely seasoned; and super crunchy as well. And you know what? It comes with UNAGI at the side! Holy Moly, they were smokey good! For the health-enthusiasts, this is the dish you need to order! I’m coming back for this again, for sure!

Ohayo // $20
Don’t get intimidated by the amount of rockets in this dish because it got me hooked! French Toast was really soft and fluffy, and it goes really well with the seasoned rockets with burrata cheese and pomegranate (an alternative to ice cream). The sweet-sour combination was really good, and you just can’t stop. Tomatoes were sweet and the bacons were really addictive!
