You no longer have to fly to Thailand to enjoy the Michelin-awarded and popular Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice because they are NOW in Singapore, at NEX! With a rich history dated all the way back to 1960, Go-Ang Kaomunkai Pratunam started as a food stall specialising in Hainanese chicken rice in the Pratunam district of Bangkok which later gained massive popularity among locals & tourists. The brand was then awarded a prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand Award in the inaugural Bangkok edition of Michelin Guide this year.

Fans in Singapore can expect to not only savour their aromatic chicken & rice dishes, but also soups, signature braised pork and the highly-raved homemade chilli sauce. On top of that, familiar Singaporean favourites such as vegetables, tofu and fish side dish options are also available in the restaurant.

To ensure the authenticity of the cuisine, all kitchen staff were trained by Go-Ang founder Mr. Sombat Pruekpaiboon at the original restaurant in Bangkok. Mr. Sombat Pruekpaiboon is also assisting with the launch of the Singaporean venue to ensure that customers here receive the authentic Go-Ang dining experience.

Tempted, isn’t it? Time to jio all your family and friends (suitable for all ages) and FEAST to your heart’s content at Go-Ang without breaking the bank! “secretly smiling because it’s so damn near my place!”

Pair the award-winning chicken rice with a variety of homely and mouth-watering side dishes! It’s actually pretty similar to Tze Char in Singapore but with Thai influence! I think it’s best to come here with more people so you guys can order and try more dishes!

Single Portion Chicken // $4.50
Here comes the HIGHLIGHT! Rice was flavourful, not too sticky and it was not too oily. I didn’t get thirsty after finishing the entire bowl of rice. The rice gets tastier with every mouth. Really tempted to order another bowl but have to get my weight in check, hahaha! Oh yes, you can either opt for chicken breast or chicken thigh and I got myself the breast and it wasn’t too tough, or too dry! Dip the chicken into the homemade Thai Chilli sauce for MAXIMUM pleasure! I mean for the price you’re paying, it’s damn value-for-money!
Gizzard & Liver // $2.50 each
Not a huge fan of innards but these were handled well. There wasn’t any gamey taste, and they were really tender. Again, dip in the sauce because it’s good!
Chai Poh Omelette // $6.50
The omelette was not too bad! But I wished it had more Chai Poh in it! Oh yes, it was not oily at all.
Fried Tofu Cube with Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce // $8
Hmmm…I actually quite liked them. Tofu was crispy, not too oily and was soaked with fragrant Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce. I also liked the crushed peanuts on the tofu which adds an extra crunch to the dish. Definitely goes really well with your chicken rice!
I wanted to try the other popular and signature dishes at the restaurant but my stomach, was sadly, too full! Here’s some pictures of the dishes you might be interested to order!
