Christmas is fast approaching, and that means it’s the season to FEAST & DRINK to our heart’s content. Other than Chinese New Year, this is also another occasion where we can find the excuse not to keep our weight in check (at least for me, and dieting can seriously wait). Christmas came extremely early for me this year and I had a blast at Mandarin Orchard Singapore’s annual Christmas Party. Every year, without fail, Mandarin Orchard Singapore sets the bar really high – from its delicate Christmas set-up to a wide array of mouth-watering Christmas offerings.

Are you feeling all Christmasy after seeing all these festive desserts? Because I am! Can’t take my eyes off the creative and beautiful desserts from Mandarin Orchard!

Braised U.S. Short Rib in Port Wine and crusted in Mash Potato
Meat-lovers can indulge in a myriad of Mandarin Orchard’s signature roasts such as the all-time favourite Premium Honey-glazed Boneless or Bone-in Gammon Ham prepared using the Hotel’s closely guarded recipe from close to 50 years ago. Also very popular is the Roasted Ibérico Pork Rack with Smoked Paprika and Pink Himalayan Salt. “screaming internally ?”  Making a GRAND entrance this year is the Braised U.S. Short Rib in Port Wine and crusted in Mash Potato. Beef-fanatics!!! Prep yourself because the beef short ribs are braised to perfection in a rich port wine sauce, then topped with mashed potato for an added layer of textured goodness. Another favourite of mine is definitely the NEW Orange Miso-glazed Norwegian Salmon with Seafood Mousse!

This was really good! Salmon was well-cooked to achieve a soft and melty texture. There wasn’t any fishy smell or taste! You can get hooked in no time!

Christmas can never be complete without dazzling and aesthetically-pleasing DESSERTS. Satisfy your sweet tooth with Mandarin Orchard’s Japanese-inspired yule log cakes featuring flavours such as aromatic Hōjicha and zesty Yuzu—each delightfully presented on an edible chocolate sleigh, making it the perfect festive centrepiece. Also worth trying are the Apple and Coconut Yule Log, and the Valrhona Manjari Chocolate Banana Yule Log. Meanwhile, back by popular demand is the signature Valrhona Delicious Dulcey Yule Log—a moist, flourless chocolate sponge with candied hazelnuts and creamy praline mousse. ?

Here are some pictures of the desserts I had at Mandarin Orchard! Psst! Keeping the element of surprise because I want you guys to try it yourself!
