Changi Village has never been a destination in Singapore I have wanted to visit because of its remote (ulu) location. Travelling all the way there via public transport can be quite a nightmare for those who are not staying in the East. But recently, I found a reason to visit this far-flung side of Singapore. La Cantina In Venezia is definitely worth a million reasons for you to head down to Changi Village with your loved ones.

Overseeing a breath-taking and magnificent view of the seaside, La Cantina In Venezia is an under-the-radar Italian restaurant hidden on the 8th level of Village Hotel Changi. Turning 16th this year, this romantic restaurant has always been consistent in quality food and service which explains its huge pool of supportive regulars. Indulge in a myriad of authentic and mouth-watering Italian classics such as Burrata, Vitello Al Funghi Porcini, Risotto Al Fruitti Di Mare, Linguine Al Granchio (my FAV) and many more!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, all lovebirds should consider celebrating the occasion with a romantic meal at La Cantina In Venezia. Spend some quiet and quality time together over an impressive/memorable spread of Italian food. Psst! For the guys who want to impress your date, this is the time for you to also score a huge win in your relationship!

With these authentic and lavish Italian dishes, you’ll bound to impress your date at La Cantina In Venezia! Enjoy your romantic meal over a beautiful view of the sea! Definitely a meal you’ll remember for time!

Mixed Bread Basket
Literally can’t stop eating these freshly baked breads from the restaurant. Soft and fluffy, and remember to dip it into the homemade sauce for maximum pleasure. A MUST-TO-ORDER as a starter! So darn good!

Classic Italian dish that you shouldn’t miss out when you’re here, especially for cheese-lovers. Comes with generous servings of Burrata, Parma Ham and Cherry Tomatoes. My friend (who is trying this for the first time) loves it so much, she finished almost the entire dish by herself!

Risotto Al Fruitti Di Mare
Soaked with flavoursome tomato sauce, the risotto was cooked to perfection, achieving a really nice texture. Also, look at how generous they were with the amount of seafood given. Another addictive dish from La Cantina In Venezia!

Linguine AI Granchio
Hands down my FAVOURITE dish at the restaurant. Linguine was creamy and flavourful, great texture and comes with generous servings of crabmeat. It wasn’t jelat and trust me, once you start, you can’t stop. Finished the entire dish myself and was so tempted to get another serving! Highly recommended!

Vitello Al Funghi Porcini
Oh my! This veal is to die for! First of all, it was really well-cooked because there wasn’t any gamey smell. Meat was tender, flavoursome and juicy. It was really easy to eat, and remember to pour that special sauce on your veal for maximum pleasure!

Chocolate Lava Cake
Always good to end a hearty Italian meal with a classic dessert. Chocolate lava cake was rich and the sauce oozes out when sliced. Paired with a classic scoop of Vanilla ice cream, this dessert can really make you happy!

Can’t resist a good tiramisu, especially the not-so-overly-sweet rendition at La Cantina In Venezia! This was light, with a nice or rather balanced flavour of coffee and rum.

Here’s a snap of the beautiful view within the restaurant! Romantic isn’t it?
