Unless you’re working within Shaw Towers, I don’t see any reason for you to travel all the way there – probably only for Tom’s Palette? But recently, I came across a new European-Asian Fusion Bistro – Hunger’s Kitchen by Arome (occupying the space by QiJi previously) that serves up quite a feat of astonishing and value-for-money fusion dishes.

The owner, Andy, has a strong culinary background with years of experience working in established restaurants such as Saveur and you can really tell from the standards he enforces in his restaurant. Be prepared to indulge in a myriad of mouth-watering dishes such as Hunger’s Cold Pasta (my FAV), Salted Egg Chicken Wings, Confit Salmon, 36 Hrs Cooked Pork Belly and many more!

Can’t wait to try them yourself? Start making your reservation on www.quandoo.sg because you can earn double loyalty points at Hunger’s Kitchen by Arome when you key in this promo code: DINEOUT200! Don’t say I never share good stuff ah! 😉

They are very generous with the portion served (as seen in the picture) and are affordably-priced! The starters were definitely the highlight at Hunger’s Kitchen by Arome!

Some colourful coolers you might wanna get to combat the scorching hot weather! Drinks were refreshing and not overly sweet. Would recommend the Mojito flavoured one!

Asian Marinated Tuna
Tuna was well-cooked and flavoursome. It wasn’t fishy at all and I really liked the citrus wasabi dressing!

Confit Salmon
Salmon was REALLY good! It was not overly cooked and the salmon literally melts in the mouth. So good I didn’t want to share this!

Salted Egg Chicken Wing
How can anyone resist SALTED EGG? The salted egg sauce at Hunger’s Kitchen is LEGIT – rich, and creamy with a hint of spice. It wasn’t jelat at all. Highly recommended and be warned, it’s darn addictive!

Hunger’s Cold Pasta
A MUST TRY because this cold capellini was the crowd’s favourite! Everything was on point from the texture of the noodles to its flavour. One bite and trust me, you cannot stop! It’s best to order this for yourself cos you wouldn’t want to share something that’s so delicious!

Duck Confit
Crispy duck confit comes with Truffle mash below. Duck was flavourful and not too dry!

HM8092 Pork Rib
We were all in shock (can tell straight from our faces) when we saw the Pork Ribs. They were HUGE! Pork ribs were glazed with BBQ sauce, tender and flavoursome. But they were some areas that were a tad too dry for me!

36 HRS Cooked Pork Belly
HMMMM… PORK BELLY was so tender!!! The sauce was really good too and I can totally imagine myself getting a bowl of rice. Highly recommended!

Office people can get a quick yet satisfying lunch fixed at Hunger’s Kitchen by Arome. They have a decent range of rice bowls for you to choose from! Go for the Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowl!

Salted Egg Chicken Cutlet Nasi Lemak
When you have both of your FAV items in a bowl, you go 🤤 Salted Egg Chicken Cutlet inside our iconic Singaporean dish – Nasi Lemak was such a great combination. I don’t mind heading back for this again!

They also offer a range of pasta for you to choose from but I thought I would have loved the pasta even more if the pasta was cooked to achieve al-dente!
