Where do you usually hangout in town? [email protected]? ION Orchard? or Takashimaya? These are some of the popular malls that most of us would eat and shop when we’re in town. How about TripleOne Somerset? Not sure about you but even though the mall is only a stone’s throw away from Somerset MRT station, I haven’t been there much – probably only once or twice. Just last week, I found a hidden Japanese restaurant on its second storey (all thanks to Quandoo) – Kyoaji Dining where they offer affordable yet impressive Japanese fusion cuisine. Other than their reasonably-priced a la carte dishes (including bento & don set lunches that caters to the office crowd), they also offer Omakase. What a surprise, isn’t it?

Kyoaji Dining has, in fact, been around for quite a long time – they moved out of TripleOne Somerset before and now they’re back in the mall. So, if you’re looking for a nice and quiet place to satisfy your Japanese food cravings, you should head to Kyoaji Dining at TripleOne Somerset and try their food out!

Oh yes, make a reservation via www.quandoo.sg and use promo code ‘DINEOUT200′ to enjoy double loyalty points. Earn 200 Quandoo loyalty points, instead of the usual 100! A total of 1000 loyalty points can be redeemed for a $15 cashback directly into your bank account during your next successful Quandoo reservation.

Featured here is some of Kyoaji’s signature and most popular dishes! Looks good right?

Fish Collagen
Starting our meal with a very refreshing Fish Collagen (not fishy at all) with a nice hint of Yuzu.

Nasu Dengaku
Didn’t know eggplant can taste this good but I’m in love with this Miso Glazed Eggplant! Texture was really good – melts in the mouth and it goes so well with the miso sauce.

Hana Sushi
An assortment of beautifully-plated sushi – of course based on their availability and seasonality. Hard to go wrong with sushi unless the ingredients aren’t fresh.

Niku Fagura Sauce
The smell of this dish was really strong (might be overwhelming for some people) but trust me, once you land a piece of beef in your mouth, you will be stunned (in a good way). Generously drenched with Foie Gras sauce (for those who don’t take foie gras physically), the beef is tender and very juicy. This dish itself definitely warrants a re-visit!

Ise Ebi Garlic Sauce
Can never resist a fresh lobster with flavoursome garlic sauce! Squeeze the lemon for some citrusy flavour!
