I’ve been a huge fan of The Salted Plum since their pop-up called Five Ten a year ago. When they finally moved to a permanent residency along Circular Road, I patronised (and brought different group of friends) them very frequently for comfort Taiwanese food. So happy to share that they have recently opened their second outlet at the bustling Suntec City with an exclusive breakfast set alongside an expanded menu. For the office people working around the area, you guys can now enjoy a hearty Taiwanese spread without breaking the bank! *They offer affordable (very value-for-money) lunch bowls and I always go for their Burnt Chilli Chicken!

Psst! Best to head down to The Salted Plum with a group of friends cos you guys can order more to share. I would highly recommend you to go for their dinner set – for 2pax ($50) or 4pax ($100)!

Enjoy these delectable Taiwanese food without hurting your wallet! Trust me, you’ll walk out of the restaurant with a very satisfied stomach. I’ll not be sharing all the dishes because I want to keep that element of surprise for you. Again, best to go down with more people so you guys can order more to try!

Sweet Potato Porridge // $2
Highly recommend you to get their Sweet Potato Porridge to go with your food. It rids off the greasiness and yeah, very comforting! Pairs really well with all the heavy flavoured dishes!

The above 3 dishes (from top to bottom: Dou Miao – $15, Cold Tofu – $10 and Salmon Fresh AF – $15) are only exclusive to the Suntec outlet! Dou Miao was surprisingly good (cos it looked really green, haha) and crunchy, and I love those bacon in it. Cold Tofu was not too bad – silky and damn those century egg with shallots were so shiok that you’ll probably forget about the calories. Salmon was not overly cooked.

The next few dishes are my FAVOURITE and also a MUST-ORDER when I’m at The Salted Plum. They are Kao Rou – $15, Oyster Omelette – $15, Joey’s Lala – $15 and Long Beans – $10! Kao Rou is dangerously addictive! Trust me, once you ate one, you literally can’t stop! It tasted very similar to Bak Kwa but of course, more savoury. Oyster Omelette wasn’t fishy at all and the omelette was so fluffy! Joey’s Lala is another addictive dish you need to watch out! Clams were really fresh and flavoursome! And last but not least, the Long Beans which I can finish all by myself. The beans were very flavourful!

The Salted Plum’s Red Tea Jelly // $5
Always end your meal at The Salted Plum with their Red Tea Jelly! This bowl of goodness is definitely worth all the calories! Very refreshing!

Other dishes you might be interested in is their Taiwanese Sausage Patties – $10 and Golden Shishamo – $10! For the Golden Shishamo, you will either like it or dislike it!
