I left Blue Jasmine with a lasting impression after my meal with them a few months ago. The staffs were very welcoming and hospitable, and I really liked their food. Just last week, I went back to the restaurant again for their new menu. Besides offering new dishes, Blue Jasmine now has an all-new alfresco bar that serves up tropical cocktails, wines and beers. Diners can look forward to classic and robust Thai staples such as Phad Kee Mao (Thai Drunken Noodles), Spicy Sesame Beef and many more! For the office crowd working around Farrer Park, you’ll be glad to hear that they also offer very value-for-money lunch sets that starts from S$13++! And if you’re looking for a place to unwind after work, they have Happy Hour at $10++ per glass!

A sneak peak of Blue Jasmine’s brand new menu! Most of their dishes are spicy but very flavoursome! Guess you don’t have to fly to Thailand to get authentic Thai food! And yes, I love to sit at their alfresco area.

(Lunch Set) Red Tom Yum Seafood // $13++
Here’s one of their very value-for-money lunch sets: Red Tom Yum Seafood and it comes with vegetarian spring rolls and a classic mango sticky rice! Red Tom Yum Seafood was no doubt spicy but you just wanna go for another mouthful once you start. It was flavoursome and very appetising. Love the texture of the glass noodles and they were generous with the seafood servings!

Papaya Salad
How can you not start a Thai feast without a classic Papaya Salad? The rendition at Blue Jasmine is definitely spicy but shiok! The combination was good and very refreshing. A great appetiser!

Spicy Beef Sesame
Another addictive starter you should order! Beef was fried to perfection – not too gamey and it goes really well with the spicy dip. Order some beers/cocktails to go with it!

Red Curry with Chicken
Don’t say I never warn you! This dish is FIERY HOT! Remember to order some rice to go with it! Flavour was really good but I couldn’t handle the spice level well! If you can take spicy food, you should probably go for this!

Fiery Pad Kee Mao Kway Teow
Even though this was spicy, it was so good (read: shiok) that I didn’t mind the pain I was going through. Kway Teow has a nice texture and it was very flavourful (wok hei flavour). Squeeze some lime for more citrusy flavour! A MUST-TRY!

Chilled Red Ruby with Coconut Ice Cream
Always a great idea to end off a hearty meal with a classic Thai dessert! Coconut Ice Cream (made in house) was so good that I didn’t want to share!
