Looking for the perfect place to chill your night away? Fret not, I’ve got you covered! Nestled within National Gallery Singapore, Smoke & Mirrors is your go-to destination for a drink or two. Accompanied by a mesmerising view of Singapore, this popular rooftop bar is also the ideal location for a romantic night with your spouse!

Recently, the bar welcomes a brand new Head Bartender, Jorge Conde, who has created a unconventional (read: impressive) cocktail menu – Illusion of Flavours, that features 16 collection of progressive cocktails influenced by his love for arts. The talented bartender also uses interesting tools like the rotary evaporator (a device used in chemical laboratories) to spice the drinks up! Some of the MUST TRY cocktails include the signature Smoke & Mirrors, Jack from the Jungle and many more!

And of course, you can’t have drinks without ordering their bar snacks. Their crackling Roast Pork Belly is to die for! #justsaying

Definitely a well-spent evening at Smoke & Mirrors! Food, drinks and service were very 💯! View was supposed to be amazing but the HAZE was such a letdown! ARGGHH!

Here’s some shots of the cheeky, charismatic and fun-loving Head Bartender, Jorge Conde! Started in the hospitality industry at the young age of 16, Jorge has worked in venues across his home country in Galicia, Spain. Fun Fact: He was a graphic designer by trade, but was doing part-time bartending in hotels and high-volume cocktail bars, before eventually transitioning to a full-time career behind the bar.

Smoke & Mirrors #4 // $28++
Blend Of Agaves | Strawberry | Cacao | Pure Milk | Vodka | Bamboo Charcoal | Salt & Pepper
Kick-started the evening with their signature Smoke & Mirrors (recommended by Jorge because I told him I wanted something more woody) and yes, I liked it. The drink was smooth, fruity and very easy to drink. I know there’s vodka but there’s no after-burn. And did you spot the evaporator behind my drink? Interesting, isn’t it?

Psst! If you’re keen to know more about the profile of the drinks, you can even scan the QR code on the menu which brings you to a video explaining about the drink!

Jack From The Jungle // $25++
Sugar Cane Spirit | Blend Of Spices | 48H Fermented Agave | Jackfruit
Kicking things up a notch with the second drink – Jack From The Jungle. This was definitely a stronger one than the first drink, but again, it was very easy to drink. I thought the drink also swing towards a medium-sweet spectrum. Legit don’t mind having another one!

Robbery At The Museum // $28++
Local Gin | Sour Cherry | Locally Sourced Herbs | Fermented Pineapple | Fizzy Foam
I think this drink will be very popular among the ladies. More on the sweeter and floral spectrum!

Skinny Truffle Fries // $14++
Got a bowl of truffle fries to go with the drinks too! Generous portion and the dip was good!

Roast Pork Belly // $14++
One of the sides that you MUST order when you’re drinking at here! This crackling Roast Pork Belly, or what I would call it Sio Bak was damn shiok! The fat to meat ratio was just right and the top layer was so crispy! It paired so well with our cocktails that night.

Sautéed Beef Cubes // $18++
Legit had to force myself to stop because this beef cubes were so addictive. They were flavoursome, tender and those garlic chips were 😍
