First established in Circular Road in 1996, the iconic (read: popular) Mag’s Wine Kitchen has recently relocated to a new space in Keong Saik Road, offering modern French dishes set in a open-kitchen dining concept. At Mag’s Wine Kitchen, every dining experience is especially crafted for diners to feel at home, or Mag‘s (Chef-Owner) home, to be precise. This is channelled through the genuine and guest-first hospitality; from the modern French dishes that narrate Mag‘s personal culinary journey, down to the diverse wine list that includes favourites from her personal collection. We definitely had fun talking to Mag over good food and wine, where she shared her culinary philosophy with us (of course, adding in her humour as well)!

I would highly recommend you to check out the restaurant because we were really impressed with the offerings, as well as the home-style ambience. If you’re working around the area, Mag’s Wine Kitchen also serve very value-for-money set lunches! Oh yes, this is definitely the place to impress your spouse and corporate clients!

Enjoyed every single dish at Mag’s – legit couldn’t pick a favourite! This restaurant definitely warrants a re-visit!

Soba (Off-Menu, Seasonal Price)
Starting the meal with this refreshing soba with ponzu sauce, topped with rich and creamy uni. Very appetising and I love the texture of the soba!

Mussels (Off-Menu, Seasonal Price)
These Bouchon mussels from St Michel, France were really fresh and sweet. Recommend to dip the in-house bread with the sauce. Very addictive!

Scallop & Pork Belly (Off-Menu, Seasonal Price)
This was one of my FAV dish that evening! I’m salivating once more just looking at it! Pork Belly was SHIOK – tender (melts in the mouth) and flavoursome, and the pan-seared Scallop was 😍! Perfect combination! Definitely coming back for this again!

Crab // $22.00++
Another very appetising starter  – you can have crab slaw topped with melon confit and Trout roe! Love the subtle hint of wasabi flavour in the crab slaw!

Ribeye (Off-Menu, Seasonal Price)
Beef-lovers will definitely fall in love with this melt-in-the-mouth Ribeye Steak! Seasoned with Sarawak Pepper, the steak was not gamey (or jelat) at all! Honestly, it was already tasty without the sauce!

Chocolate // $14.00++
Always good to end the meal with a classic Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. It was well-baked (as you can see from the picture) and the chocolate sauce oozing out wasn’t too jelat or too sweet! Shiok lah!
